2 Cor.3.18 – But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The secret to growth in the kingdom of God lies in what you see. The word is clearly telling us that when we look into the mirror, we are changed to what is in the mirror. I hope we understand that there are eyes which are in us. These are the eyes which are used for imagination. When I say red car, you picture something in your mind though that car is not around for you to see it. But you will see it in your mind.
And now the message is saying, with these eyes look at the glory of our Lord Jesus. His glory is what he possessed before he came on earth (John 17:5). And we have inherited that nature of glory because we are unlike Israelites who were not able to see the glory of Moses. In Christ there is no barrier that distract us from feeding on his glory. 2 Cor 3:16 tells us that when we turn to the Lord the vail is removed so that we can see the light of Christ. So let’s use those eyes to see the light of God and his glory.
